Business & Financial Analyst Intern

Position Summary

Swank Motion Pictures is seeking a highly motivated Business & Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making and drive revenue growth across our organization. This role sits at the intersection of finance, sales, and marketing, helping translate data into actionable insights that improve performance, optimize pricing, and inform key business initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to learn how a business operates from both a financial and strategic perspective. This position offers strong exposure to leadership and is designed to accelerate development into future strategic and leadership roles within Swank.

Responsibilities

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in analyzing financial, sales, and operational data to identify trends and business insights. 
  • Support pricing and profitability analysis to better understand revenue drivers. 
  • Help prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for business leaders. 
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities. 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to evaluate campaign performance and customer trends. 
  • Conduct market and competitive research to support strategic initiatives. 
  • Learn to build and maintain Excel-based financial models and analytical tools. 
  • Assist with data validation and reporting accuracy through root-cause analysis. 
  • Present your summer project and key findings to department leaders at the conclusion of the internship. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Curious, analytical, and eager to learn. 
  • Comfortable working with numbers and solving business problems. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. 
  • Effective communicators who enjoy collaborating with others. 
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative on projects.

 Preferred Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, PivotTables, charts; exposure to Power Query or Power Pivot is a plus). 
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Interest in financial modeling, business analytics, or corporate strategy.

Educational Requirements

  • Rising Junior perusing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Accounting or related field 
  • Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028 and a minimum 3.0 GPA
