Unlike traditional internships, you'll work directly with experienced CPAs and accounting professionals on real client accounts, gaining hands-on experience that prepares you for a successful accounting career.

What You'll Do

As a Staff Accountant Intern, you'll become part of our client service team and help manage the day-to-day accounting needs of small businesses across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities include:

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

Record and categorize financial transactions

Assist with month-end close procedures

Prepare adjusting journal entries

Review financial statements for accuracy

Work in QuickBooks Online and other cloud accounting applications

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies

Assist senior accountants with catch-up bookkeeping projects

Communicate professionally with clients when additional information is needed

Use AI tools and technology to improve accounting workflows

Participate in weekly team meetings and professional development sessions

What We're Looking For

Required:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting

GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred

Completed Intermediate Accounting I (Intermediate II preferred)

Strong attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment

Strong Excel skills

Preferred:

QuickBooks Online experience

Experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)

Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot

Prior bookkeeping, tax, or audit experience

Interest in pursuing CPA certification
