Key Duties:

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and diagnostic assessments (ICD-10).
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications safely, adhering to clinical guidelines.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and behavioral interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medications, and coping strategies.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of North Carolina.
• Demonstrated experience in behavioral health and psychopharmacology.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations across different age groups and backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
