Shift:

40 hours per week

Will work ½ September, all of October, all of November & 1/2 December, 2026 (approximately 10-12 weeks)

$26.20/hour

Job Summary

As a key member of the UPS HR team supporting our peak season hiring blitz, the Human Resources Intern will help to source, recruit, hire and onboard new UPS hourly hires. This role will partner with both HR and hiring managers to identify and define specific recruiting needs, which will continuously change on a day-to-day basis. The Seasonal HR Intern will help to monitor open positions/requisition process and assist on reporting across the territory which may include several sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring 1500+ seasonal employees for Oklahoma and North Texas
• Data entry, miscellaneous reports
• Performs day one onboarding activities for the new hires
• Communicate via text and/or phone with new hire candidates
• Conduct interviews to hire other professional roles

Qualifications

Must be comfortable speaking to candidates on the phone and in person, sometimes in large groups. Must be a quick learner and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Must be calm under pressure, reliable and commit to completing the entire internship. Ideal candidates would be current or former college students (particularly HR majors) looking to gain valuable experience in a high-volume hiring environment. Ideal candidate is familiar with Microsoft Excel and technology-savvy. Great experience hiring in large volume environment. 

This will not lead to a permanent job with UPS, but is an excellent resume-builder. 

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $26.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 hours per week, possible Saturdays.
