Educational Assistant (Part-Time) – Microschool & Tutoring

We seek

 a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Educational Assistant to support our growing microschool and academic programs.

This role is ideal for education, psychology, child development, speech-language pathology, social work, or related majors who enjoy working with children in a small-group setting.

Current Schedule

Morning Microschool: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–11:00 AM

Additional afternoon tutoring hours (approximately 4:00 PM–6:00 PM) may become available based on student enrollment.

Applicants may apply for the morning schedule, afternoon schedule, or both.

Responsibilities

Support students during academic instruction in reading, writing, and math.

Assist with individualized and small-group learning activities.

Reinforce teacher instruction and help students stay engaged.

Prepare learning materials and maintain an organized classroom.

Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful learning environment.

Communicate professionally with the lead teacher.

Qualifications

Experience working with children is preferred.

Current college student or graduate in education or a related field preferred.

Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Reliable, organized, and eager to learn.

Ability to work collaboratively in a small-team environment.

Bonus Qualifications (Not Required)
Applicants with experience or talents in music, Spanish, dance, visual arts, STEM, or other enrichment areas are encouraged to share those skills, as future opportunities to lead enrichment activities may become available.

Starting pay: $18/hour

• Raises available based on experience, performance, and program growth.
• Additional paid hours may become available as enrollment increases.
