Strategic Projects Associate

 

Metro Global Ventures is a boutique investment firm dedicated to nurturing the growth of businesses in our diverse portfolio across various industries. We take a hands-on approach to the growth and development of our portfolio companies, providing them with the resources, support, and collaboration needed to thrive in their industries. 

 

The Strategic Projects Associate will report directly to one of our Operating Partners and work with different leaders within the organization on strategic projects. Designed as a feeder into leadership development, the role provides exposure to a range of departments and challenges over a multi-year period, building the cross-functional experience needed to grow into a leadership position within the Metro Global Ventures portfolio.

 

We are looking to hire a 2-3 associates: 1 who will be able to commute to and work from our office located in Ocean City, NJ and 1-2 who will be able to commute to and work from our office located in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to one of these offices and must be able to commit to a hybrid schedule (3-4 days in office per week).

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support projects that strengthen operational capabilities and drive growth across different teams. 
  • Partner with executive teams to develop and execute scalable strategies that accelerate revenue and market expansion. 
  • Analyze business performance metrics and surface insights that support data-driven decisions. 
  • Research and evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential new opportunities. 
  • Identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to keep projects aligned and on track. 
  • Take on hands-on tasks such as lead generation, client outreach, reporting, test-marketing, recruiting, and vendor coordination. 

 

Requirements: 

  • A bachelor's degree in any field. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a knack for building relationships with a range of stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset. 
  • The independence and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Self-motivation and genuine eagerness to learn. 
  • Openness and ability to travel domestically.
