Paxel AI - Health Care Provider Data Research with AI

Company Overview

Paxel AI serves the pharmaceutical manufacturing market with a full-stack AI solution providing pharma sales reps with the intelligence and automation they need to be successful. In today’s pharmaceutical market, sales reps can spend up to 70% of their time on non-selling tasks — wrestling with fragmented CRMs, poor-quality data, and endless prep work. That’s lost time, lost deals, and lost growth. Paxel.ai changes that. We’ve built the first AI-powered sales platform designed specifically for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Our platform is built specifically for the complexity of pharma. We bring together the data, relationships, pricing, contracts, and market context that teams need to understand what is happening and where to focus. With our integrated solutions — Pulse.ai and Fusion.ai — we eliminate inefficiencies and empower reps to focus on what they do best: selling.

Project Description

Students on this project will heavily utilize AI to research various data sources to determine and how best to incorporate them into Paxel AI's knowledgebase.

Some of the sources include:

NPPES full and weekly files - National NCP and NCO data provided by CMS's supported "National Plan and Provider Enumeration System"

CMS Doctors and Clinicians national file - CMS descriptions of hospital affiliations where the clinicians provide services.

CMS Facility Affiliation Data - apparently an additional CMS file that contains additional affiliate data

PECOS public provider enrollment and reassignment data - Medicare enrolled providers and their associations with groups and organizations.

CMS hospital, POS, ownership and change-of-ownership files - Medicare-registed hospitals which apparently has key characteristics about the hospitals.

IRS Form 990 and Schedule R relationships - unique ownership information (particularly for non-profit hospitals).

Targeted health-system provider and service-line websites - the websites of larger health systems (like CommonSpirit) that have detailed provider lists)

Medicare provider, inpatient and outpatient utilization data - discharge information to better understand "specialty services" being offered at a hospital.

State licensure and facility files for priority markets - licensing boards that give information about license status, specialty / certifications, licensed hospitals, etc.

Specialty accreditation directories - information that can confirm if facilities offer particular services (trauma, transplant, etc)

Included in the analysis is a competitive gap analysis.
