ATEM Labs is an environmental testing lab that specializes in the analysis of rock, soil, air, dust, water, and building materials for the presence of asbestos, lead, silica and other minerals and environmental substances.

ATEM Labs is looking to hire a lab technician to perform various sample preparation tasks in a laboratory environment including working with environmental particulate loaded onto filters including air, water, and powder samples. Also includes various other tasks such as weighing, etching, coating and other lab procedures. Must be detail oriented, have steady hands and able to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). Previous experience or coursework in a laboratory environment preferred but not required. Some analytical work using an atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and/or benchtop microscopes may be possible. College degree in a geology or biological science preferred.
