AI Automation Intern
We're looking for an AI-native builder, not a traditional intern. You won't be organizing spreadsheets — you'll be identifying where our operational workflows (underwriting, deal tracking, document review, lead qualification) can be automated with AI agents, then actually building the agents that do it.
If you've already been experimenting with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, agent frameworks, n8n, Zapier, or writing your own automation scripts for fun or for class projects, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
- Shadow our underwriting, operations, and BD workflows to spot repetitive, rules-based tasks worth automating
- Design, prototype, and deploy AI agents/workflows to handle those tasks (document intake, data extraction, lead triage, reporting, etc.)
- Work directly with our COO and leadership team to prioritize and ship automation projects
- Document what works so it can be handed off and scaled
What We're Looking For
- Genuine hands-on experience with AI tools/agents — coursework, side projects, hackathons, or self-taught all count
- Comfort with at least one of: Python, no-code automation tools (Zapier/n8n/Make), or prompt/agent frameworks
- Curiosity and initiative — this role rewards people who go find the problem, not just solve the one they're handed
- Interest in fintech, financial services, or small business lending is a plus, not a requirement
