Communications Marketing Intern

Organization Overview:
We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on strengthening families and improving outcomes for children and youth through prevention, support services, and community partnerships.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and motivated college intern to support our communications and marketing efforts. This unpaid internship is ideal for a student interested in marketing, communications, nonprofit work, or digital media. The intern will help create social media content, assist with basic marketing materials, and support storytelling that highlights our programs and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and schedule social media posts for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Assist with simple graphic design using Canva or similar tools
  • Write captions and short content for posts and outreach materials
  • Support development of basic flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials
  • Help gather program updates, photos, and success stories for marketing use
  • Assist with general communications and special projects as needed

Time Commitment:
Approximately 20 hours per week, flexible based on class schedule

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (combination of remote work and occasional in-office days in Jacksonville, FL)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current college student in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Journalism, or related field
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Basic Canva or design experience preferred (training can be provided)
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to learn
  • Interest in nonprofit or community-based work is a plus
