Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY 
The Analyst role at Avery is complex and entrepreneurial. Analysts partake in a myriad of workflow at a start-up company that requires strong attention to detail and can be broken into three categories: platform development, business development and recruiting. The role requires a service oriented self-starter who is comfortable working in a startup environment and with all levels of an organization.  


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 


Platform Development 
1) Generating and communicating technology feature development ideas that the firm can implement to improve the internal platform’s usability and effectiveness. 
2) Assisting in candidate acquisition efforts to increase the Avery platform user base. 
3) Promoting the generation of platform data, feature utilization and myriad of other site activities. 
4) Provide tutorials to candidates and clients to ensure their optimal use of the platform. 

Business Development 
1) Source new clients via targeted outreach based on proprietary data garnered via multiple internal and external resources.  
2) Communicate business leads internally to ensure accurate information flow throughout the firm; keep track of leads in organized manner and engage in timely follow-ups. 
3) Assist in the development of reports and materials that aids in the acquisition of new clients. 
4) Provide tutorials and customer service post engagement to ensure long-term client retention.  

Recruiting 
1) Auditing AI onboarding and categorizing of users who sign up for the Avery platform with tags that require the understanding of the entire financial landscape (advisory, buyside, consulting, etc.). 
2) Partnering with clients and learning their nuanced hiring criteria through launch calls to ensure AI screening and assessment occurs in line with client expectations. 
3) Forming long-lasting relationships with candidates during the hiring process and helping them negotiate compensation, keep track of multiple process and make well-informed career choices. 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 
The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following: 
▪ 0 - 2 years of experience with knowledge of private equity or investment banking is preferred. 
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting with a strong record of academic success. 
▪ Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a team. 
▪ Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects. 
▪ Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. 
▪ Outstanding organization, decision making and problem solving skills. 
▪ Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to advance work product independently; we love student athletes! 
▪ High degree of integrity and ethics.
