Permanent Substitute Special Education Inclusion Specialist

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Permanent Substitute Special Education Inclusion Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Inclusion Specialist provides consultation to the elementary and secondary staff regarding inclusionary practices and teaching and learning strategies. The Inclusion Specialist also works cooperatively with guidance and other school personnel, and parents/guardians, to support the provision of transition as students move from preschool programs to elementary to middle/high school, as well as transitions to post-secondary experiences. This role supports a caseload of students who are mainstreamed/integrated/included in the regular classroom and who are in need of accommodations and specialized supports to ensure success in that setting.
This is a full-time, on-site, single school year temporary assignment.
This position will be eligible for an annual salary at step 1 of the teachers' salary schedule, starting at $58,000 depending upon education credential.
The position is also eligible for paid time off in the form of sick and personal days and individual health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
In order to be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold an active certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Special Education, School Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Board Certified Behavioral Analysts will also be considered.
Applicants with pending certifications through the PA Department of Education may be considered with appropriate evidence of completion of a PDE approved certification preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations.

- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
- FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114)
The following additional trainings and forms are required upon hire:
- Act 126 Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting
- Arrest or Conviction Form (PDE 6004) (Act 24)
- School Personnel Health Record (Physical with TB Test)
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Information (Act 168)
