Spanish Teacher (Middle School) – Bronx, NY

The Bronx School for Law, Government & Justice is seeking a passionate and student-centered Spanish Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create engaging, standards-aligned lessons that develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering an appreciation for Spanish language and culture.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging instruction aligned to the NYS Learning Standards.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, language, and social-emotional needs of students.

Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative assessments and use data to inform instruction.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.

Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure student success.

Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.

Participate in professional development, grade-level teams, and school-wide initiatives.

Build meaningful relationships with students while maintaining high expectations for academic and personal growth.
