Computer Science Intern (TruckHouse, Pack Intern, Fall 2026)

Internship Description:
The intern will lead TruckHouse's first structured AI agent initiative by interviewing team members to surface high-value automation targets, recommending and designing Claude-based AI agents, building and deploying those agents, and — critically — teaching each team member how to build and improve their own agent. TruckHouse excels at designing and building luxury, custom campers for overlanding. We are not a software company, but are beginning to implement AI tools into our workflows to force multiply our excellent team. We’d like the intern to observe our workflows and support the adoption of these AI tools through the responsibilities listed below.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete 150 hours of work as an intern (8-15 hours per week, 15 weeks total)
- Workflow Discovery and Agent Scoping
- Agent Development and Deployment
- Team AI Capability Building
Goals and Expectations of the Intern:
Develop a reusable AI agent curriculum designed for non-technical users, covering:
- What AI agents are and what they can and can't do
- How to identify a good automation candidate in your own workflow
- How to prompt effectively and iterate on agent behavior
- How to build a basic agent using Claude and Claude Code
- How to test, validate, and improve an agent over time
- Personalized one-on-one sessions with each of the six stakeholders — hands-on, workflow-specific coaching tailored to their role
- Each stakeholder guided through at least one hands-on agent-building exercise relevant to their actual work
- Written reference guide left with TruckHouse at the end of the internship — a practical how-to that team members can return to independently
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno during the Fall ‘26 semester
- Summer ‘26 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program
- Student must be enrolled in a major or minor program in the following colleges:
- Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources (CABNR)
- Business
- Engineering
- Science
- Public Health/Orvis
- Student must have experience with cleaning, organizing, and analyzing complex data sets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably Junior or Senior standing in CS at UNR
- Organized self-starter with excellent communication across teams
- Experience developing and improving workflows with AI
- Experience utilizing data viz to communicate complex concepts
- High level of curiosity about the confluence of manufacturing and business processes
Desired Schedule for Intern:
Applicants are expected to work in person during TruckHouse business hours M-Th 6:30am to 4:30pm
Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 150 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
