HR Administrator

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented HR Administrator to join their Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career HR professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The position is based in Portsmouth, NH and requires working onsite five days per week during the training period. Once fully trained, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule with one remote day per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team across a variety of HR functions.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Process HR transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review work carefully and self-audit for quality and completeness.
- Learn and manage HR processes from start to finish while understanding the impact of each step.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide exceptional internal customer service.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and HR systems to support daily operations.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and audit work.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to quickly learn new processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with Smartsheet is preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
