Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be an essential member of our Maintenance, Technology, or Reliability Teams, driving technical solutions and innovations. Your duties will include:
- Technical Support – provide day-to-day technical service, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Project Management – Lead small design projects for the repair and replacement of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
- Design Initiatives – Create comprehensive electrical and instrumentation design packages.
- Safety and Compliance – Participate in safety studies and drive the Management of Chance (MOC) process.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with operations, maintenance, technology, reliability, and construction teams.

Skills & Knowledge Required
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university by December 2026 or May 2027.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA out of 4.0.
- Plant Experience through cooperative education or summer internships.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical equipment, including motor controls, electrical systems, load flow, arc flash and other system studies.
- Ability to troubleshoot motor controls up to 4160 volts.
- Experience in sizing conduits, cables for motors, MCCs, feeders, etc.
- Prior work with outside vendors on coordination and electrical system studies
- Knowledge of instrumentation design (temperature, pressure, flow, control valves) from field to DCS systems
- Experience with Triconex PLCs is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation loops from field to DCS systems.
- Proficiency in the design and programming of control and interlock systems.
- Skills is sizing and selecting instruments and control valves.
