Sound And Light Coordinator

SOUND & LIGHT COORDINATOR

Salary $25.00 per hour

This is a technical position involving responsibility for the operation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment. Does related work as required.

The typical work activities listed below, while providing representative examples of the variety of work assignments in the title do not describe any individual position. Incumbents in this title may perform some or all of the following as well as other related activities not described.

  • Manages light and sound for school events (musicals, drama productions, graduations, award ceremonies)
  • Experience in production both large and small scale preferred
  • Needs to be available in evenings and occasional weekends
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator
  • Experience working with adolescents and interested in training students to work with light and sound technology
  • Works closely with advisors to drama and musical productions

Special Requirement for appointment to position: In accordance with Ulster County Legislative Local Law Number 14 of 2007 or by other State and Federal Statutes, candidates for employment to all school positions must obtain clearance for appointment from the Department of Criminal Justice Services or other mandated Federal and State regulatory authority based upon fingerprinting and a criminal history background check.
