Production Assistant

The Georgia Ballet is seeking a motivated, organized, and enthusiastic Production Intern to support the technical and production aspects of our performances, rehearsals, and special events. This internship provides hands-on experience in live performing arts production while working alongside experienced production staff in a professional ballet company.

This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in technical theater, stage management, arts administration, event production, or performing arts operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of rehearsals, performances, and special events.
  • Support lighting, sound, scenery, props, and backstage operations as assigned.
  • Help maintain production equipment, costumes, props, and storage areas.
  • Assist stage management during rehearsals and performances.
  • Coordinate production needs with artistic staff, dancers, volunteers, and technicians.
  • Help transport and organize production materials for off-site performances when needed.
  • Participate in load-in, strike, and venue preparation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized backstage environment.
  • Complete other production and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current college student, recent graduate, or individual pursuing experience in technical theater, stage management, performing arts, production, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with evening and weekend availability during performance periods. What You'll Gain
