Bogey's Mix is a fast-growing, fresh dog food company based in Leesburg, Virginia, on a mission to help dogs live longer, healthier lives through real, nutritious food. Every meal is handcrafted in small batches in our Leesburg kitchen using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.

More than a dog food company, we're building a community of passionate dog lovers through local events, farmers markets, partnerships, and face-to-face connections. The Role

We're looking for an energetic, outgoing Event & Brand Marketing Intern to represent Bogey's Mix at farmers markets, pet festivals, community events, and other dog-friendly experiences across Northern Virginia. In this role, you'll be the face of our brand, connecting with dog owners, sharing our mission, introducing customers to fresh nutrition, and creating memorable experiences that bring the Bogey's Mix community to life.

This is a hands-on, in-person internship for someone who wants more than a traditional marketing role. You'll gain experience in event marketing, brand activation, community engagement, and grassroots marketing while working alongside a growing team where your ideas are valued and your contributions make a real impact. 

What You'll Do

• Represent Bogey’s Mix at farmers markets, pop-ups, pet festivals, and dog-friendly events throughout Northern Virginia (typically ~4 events/week with a flexible schedule)
• Generate leads by connecting with dog parents, sharing the Bogey’s Mix story, answering questions, and collecting contact information from interested customers for our sales team to follow up with
• Bring the Bogey’s Mix experience to life by setting up event booths, sharing samples, and creating positive interactions with dog parents
• Build relationships with customers through friendly conversations and help grow our local community
• Capture photo and video content at events to support social media and marketing efforts
• Support influencer and community outreach initiatives to strengthen local partnerships
• Help identify new event opportunities, partnerships, and creative ways to introduce Bogey’s Mix to more dog owners
• Collaborate with the team through weekly virtual check-ins and a monthly in-person team meeting to share updates, brainstorm ideas, and discuss event feedback.

You’re a great fit if you:

• Are pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Business, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, or a related field
• Are confident, personable, and comfortable starting conversations with new people
• Enjoy representing a brand and creating positive customer experiences
• Have an interest in marketing, events, entrepreneurship, or small business growth
• Are reliable, organized, and ready to take ownership at events
• Have availability for weekday evening and weekend events throughout Northern Virginia
• Love dogs (non-negotiable 🐶)

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as this role requires travel to community events and activations throughout Northern Virginia
