Client Service & Operations Intern (Part-Time)
Company: Morgan Wealth Advisory Group, a private practice of Ameriprise Financial Services
Location: Ellicott City, MD (In-Office Posistion)
Hours: 8-10 hours per week
Compensation: Paid internship ($17 - $20)
Duration: Semester-based with potential for extension
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented intern to support our financial planning and operations team. This role provides hands-on exposure to the financial services industry and offers an opportunity to learn how comprehensive financial planning is delivered to clients.
The intern will assist with client meeting preparation, financial planning projects, data organization, and operational initiatives that support an exceptional client experience.
This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Business / Finance, or related fields who are interested in learning about wealth management and financial planning.
Responsibilities
Financial Meeting Preparation
- Assist in preparing materials for upcoming client review meetings.
- Organize meeting agendas and supporting documentation.
- Review and update client information within firm systems.
- Help create presentation materials and reports for advisors.
Financial Planning Support
- Assist with gathering and organizing financial planning data.
- Perform data entry and quality control checks.
Operations & Special Projects
- Assist Client Service Coordinator & Specialists with client related tasks
- Assist with front desk support as needed.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with reporting and administrative projects.
- Organize digital files and maintain document management systems.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be available on Thursdays
Preferred
- Major in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, Economics,
- Interest in wealth management and financial planning.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Excel functions.
