Tax Intern
We're building the largest physician-focused tax company in the country, growing faster than anyone in this space. This internship is how we find our full-time tax team. It runs through graduation, not a fixed three-month window, and when you graduate we evaluate you for a Tax Associate seat. Read the whole post before applying.
The reality
This is not coffee-and-shadowing. You'll prep real physician tax returns, personal and business, with a Tax Manager beside you and modern AI tooling at your back. High-income households, complicated situations, real volume.
The pace is fast and the standard is high. You'll learn more here in a semester than in a year anywhere else, because we hand you real responsibility and expect you to rise to it. Hard on purpose. If that sounds like too much, this is the wrong post.
What you'll do
- Prep real returns, personal and business, under your Manager's review
- Learn the planning that drives this work: S-corp optimization, depreciation, real estate, multi-state
- Own your queue and deadlines early. We don't chase people.
- Use AI and automation so your reps go to judgment, not busywork
Who this is for
The sharpest person in your program. Learns fast, works hard without being told twice, energized by a heavy workload. Detail-obsessed, organized, quick. Not for anyone who needs hand-holding or wants a comfortable lane.
The path
You intern with us through graduation. At that point we evaluate whether you're ready for a Tax Associate seat, and the strong performers convert. Earned, not given.
A note on selection
We screen hard. Very few who apply are selected. If you're the right person, that should make you want this more.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or EA track, or planning to be
- Accurate, organized, fast. Be ready to show your work.
- Hungry to grow into a full-time tax role
