Reading Therapist

Make a lasting difference in the lives of K-12 students and gain valuable, hands-on experience providing one-on-one instruction for struggling learners utilizing a research-based, multi-sensory curriculum. Seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • One year commitment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Standard English speaking
  • Available part-time in the afternoons during the school year, full-time during summer
  • Proficient in basic technology (Excel, Word, Google Drive, Zoom)
  • Prior experience working with children (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Takes initiative

Expected job responsibilities:

  • Provides one-on-one instruction utilizing pre-written instructional plan
  • Manages student behavior effectively during lessons
  • Provides feedback to parents post-lesson
  • Assists with basic office tasks such as answering phone, filing, printing, organizing, etc.
