Afterschool Program School Aide

Location: San Diego, CA - Central County & Poway Unified School Districts
Pay Rate: $19-$21 per hour
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week

Are you passionate about helping students succeed? We're looking for caring, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team as School Aides. In this rewarding role, you'll provide classroom support to students who may need instructional, behavioral, or personal assistance throughout their school day.

Working alongside special education professionals, teachers, and school staff, you'll help create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Depending on student needs, you may also assist with personal care, mobility support, and therapeutic activities as directed by healthcare and educational professionals.

What You'll Do

• Support students with instructional and behavioral goals
• Assist teachers and special education staff in the classroom
• Encourage student engagement, independence, and success
• Provide support with personal care and mobility needs when required
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to follow professional standards, policies, and best practices
• Current CPR certification (if required)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if required)
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulations)
• Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements
