Hello, my name is Devin Nakano. I founded Y STEM and Chess Inc., a nonprofit. We teach underserved children chess, math, and computer science to help them pursue STEM majors/professions.

 

Y STEM and Chess Inc. is an open-source project. Open source is a great way to ship real production-quality code for a real company while making a difference. 

 

We have a massive waitlist but lack the technical resources to meet that demand. You will help a great cause and gain experience as a web dev. Additionally, we will help you build your resume, network, and prepare for interviews. You can view the project at https://github.com/YSTEMandChess/react.

 

I have an automated system that organizes my inbox using keywords. The keywords I'm looking for include:

Full-stack experience

MERN stack

React 9

Node.js

Express

MongoDB

UI/UX Design

Product Management

Python, with cybersecurity and AI/ML experience

Mobile experience building React Native.
