Reunion Advancement Assistant

Position Title: Reunion- Advancement Student Assistant

Semester/Year: 2026- 2027 Academic Year 

Total Positions Available: 1

Supervisor: Jessica Evangelista Balduzzi

Pay rate: $16 per hour 

Hours per wk: 16 hrs per week

Start Date: 8/31/2026

End Date: 5/1/2027

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Reunion Programs Student Assistant supports reunion fundraising, alumni engagement, volunteer management, communications, and Reunion event planning at Hobart and William Smith. This position provides hands-on experience in higher education advancement, project management, and alumni relations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support reunion communications by proofreading, formatting, and assisting with emails, social media, and other outreach. 
  • Assist with volunteer coordination by scheduling meetings, taking notes, and distributing follow-up materials. 
  • Maintain accurate reunion data, including gift participation, attendance tracking, and report preparation. 
  • Assist with Reunion Weekend and other Advancement event logistics and administrative support. 
  • Conduct alumni research and maintain the confidentiality of alumni and donor information. 
  • Support project timelines, special projects, and other duties that contribute to the success of Reunion, Annual Giving, and Alumni Engagement initiatives.

 

Qualifications

  • Current Hobart and William Smith Colleges student in good academic standing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with databases a plus.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
