About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Asset Management Technician to support daily inventory control, equipment movement, warehouse operations, and asset record maintenance within a data center environment.
This is a hands-on, on-site position requiring accuracy, accountability, and regular coordination with operations teams, vendors, and other asset stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, label, record, store, and issue IT equipment, spare parts, and consumable materials.
- Process asset inbound, outbound, transfer, delivery, shipment, and handover activities according to ticket requirements.
- Conduct routine physical inventory checks for servers, network devices, components, spare parts, and consumables.
- Compare physical inventory with system records and promptly report missing, damaged, or incorrectly recorded assets.
- Maintain organized warehouse zones, proper asset placement, accurate labels, and a safe working environment.
- Update asset locations, quantities, status, serial numbers, and movement records in asset management systems.
- Support equipment deployment, relocation, return, and decommissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate asset movement documentation and ensure tickets are properly completed and closed.
- Coordinate with data center technicians, delivery teams, vendors, and logistics partners.
- Follow all data center safety, security, confidentiality, and asset-control procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in IT, logistics, supply chain, information management, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, IT asset management, logistics, or data center support is preferred.
- Basic understanding of IT equipment such as servers, network devices, cables, components, and spare parts.
- Comfortable using Excel for inventory tracking, data entry, reconciliation, and basic reporting.
- Experience with CMDB, ITAM, ServiceNow, warehouse management, or similar systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
- Ability to safely move, organize, and handle IT equipment.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Atlanta or Suwanee, Georgia.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
