Structured Cabling Roles

Dear Candidates,

I am hiring for the below 3 roles

Location: Midland, TX

Duration: 3 Months

Type - C2H

Top performers on the initial assignment will convert to full-time with Star Tech Networks. 

Should be willing to travel if hiring post this project for other locations.

Rate - $ 23 to $ 25 per hour

Role 1 – 

Structured Cabling Technician – Lead Installer

Requirements -

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on structured cabling experience
  • Demonstrated lead-installer capability (can execute a full install package with minimal supervision)
  • Scissor lift / aerial lift operator certification (current OSHA-compliant documentation)
  • OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with cable reel handling and jack setup, including 144F and 288F trunks
  • Comfortable operating at 12–15 ft ceiling heights on lifts
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, consistent attendance record 

Role 2 – 

Working Foreman – Optical Fiber (BICSI INST2-OF Certified)

Requirements –

  • Current BICSI Installer 2 – Optical Fiber (INST2-OF) certification in good standing — verify cert number
  • Minimum 4 years structured cabling in DC or comparable enterprise environments
  • Minimum 1 year as foreman, lead installer, or crew lead
  • Hands-on experience with 144F and 288F MPO trunks
  • OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), scissor lift certification
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation

Role 3 –

Requirements –

  • Current BICSI RCDD certification in good standing — verify cert number
  • Minimum 8 years structured cabling with 3+ years in DC environments
  • Minimum 3 years managing crews of 25 or more as PM, GF, or Superintendent
  • Strong working knowledge of TIA-568, TIA-942, TIA-606, BICSI ITSIMM/TDMM
  • Proficient with MS Project, Smart sheet, Primavera, or equivalent
  • Strong Excel for production tracking and reporting
  • OSHA 30 (or ability to complete before mobilization)
