Quality Metallurgical Lab Co-Op Fall 2026
The Kowalski Heat Treating Company partners with college engineering students to create a valuable work experience. Co-Op employment is available for a full semester commitment. The Quality Metallurgical Lab Co-Op is an integral member of the Quality Department and will be directly involved in the following areas:
- Perform Metallurgical Sampling and Analysis
- Generate and Present Product Investigation Reports
- Maintain Gage Calibration of entire Facility
- Daily Hardness Tester Verification
- Track Inventory of Metallurgical Equipment / Disposable Product
- Perform Furnace Surveys – AMS 2750 latest revisions
- Perform Daily Furnace Temperature Verification
- Participate with investigation of issues in the MRB
- Participate in the development on Quality Documentation
- Collect data for analysis- monthly internal auditing to standards
- PPAP, SPC – Control Charts – Development and Completion
- Develop Internal/Customer Quality Procedures
- Maintain neat and orderly workplace at all times
