WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) , you will:

  • Develop and implement enterprise information security strategies, policies, and controls to protect organizational systems, applications, and data.
  • Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and continuous monitoring activities to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements and provide technical recommendations for system design, modernization, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead information technology projects by coordinating stakeholders, managing resources, and overseeing implementation of secure technology solutions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications: Applicants for the 2210 Information Technology Management series at the GS-13 grade level must have Information Technology (IT) related experience which demonstrates proficiency in the following competencies:

  • Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

  • Providing technical leadership for enterprise information systems by evaluating security architectures, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
  • Managing information security programs by implementing security controls, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Analyzing business and technical requirements to develop secure IT solutions that improved system performance, operational efficiency, and mission effectiveness.
  • Leading IT modernization initiatives by planning, coordinating, and implementing system enhancements that strengthened cybersecurity and supported organizational objectives.
