Job Overview

  • Job Title: General Accountant
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Work Mode: Hybrid (onsite schedule is negotiable)
  • Location: North Wales, PA

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $48,000 – $72,000 / year (Negotiable based on qualifications and experience).

Key Responsibilities

  1. General Ledger & Closing: Manage daily general ledger (GL) entries and independently handle month-end and year-end financial closing and reconciliation processes.
  2. Inventory & COGS Accounting: Track and calculate imported goods costs (including customs/tariffs, international and domestic freight, storage fees, etc.); accurately maintain inventory records and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
  3. AP/AR & Invoicing: Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) for supplier payments, Accounts Receivable (AR) for customer billing and collections, account reconciliations, and invoicing.
  4. Cash Flow & Reconciliation: Monitor daily cash flow and perform regular monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  5. Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance: Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, etc.); compile and organize tax materials to assist external CPA with quarterly/annual tax returns, Sales Tax, and other tax filings.
     

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Mandarin as regular working languages (Required).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in QuickBooks with hands-on full-cycle accounting experience (Required);
    • Strong proficiency in Excel and standard office tools (Office/Google Workspace);
    • Familiarity with import/export or international trading accounting procedures preferred.
  • Education & Experience: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields preferred; 1–3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in import/export, trading, or related industries preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, effective communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
