Position Summary
The Mathematics and Computer Science Department seeks experienced Computer Science students to be Teaching Assistants (TA) for introductory courses (CPSC 124 and CPSC 121) for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a student worker position that pays $16.00/hr and requires 1.5 hrs of work per week during lab sessions, plus 0.5 hours per week of preparation / coordination with
the instructor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting CPSC students in a lab setting, including:
- Answering questions about code and computational problem solving
- Working with the instructor to refine lab materials (e.g., noticing where instructions are unclear)
- Further opportunities for helping the instructor develop lab materials are available depending on interest.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have completed CPSC 124 with a minimum grade of C-. Experience with the Python programming language is highly desired.
