Lead Montessori Guide

Position Title: Lead Guide (Multiple Positions Available)

Montessori Kids Universe Waltham is seeking lead Montessori Guides for our Infant to school age classrooms (ages 6 weeks to 6 years). The Lead Guides must excel at preparing the environment, taking overall responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for children in the class.

The ideal candidate will possess:

● Montessori credential or experience

● Experience working with children

● Passion for the Montessori & Reggio Emilia philosophies combined with excellence in communicating these philosophies to parents and other community members

● Genuine warmth and love for guiding children (and their families!)

Position Details:

• Full time, 40 hours per week, with attendance at staff meetings and occasional night / weekend events outside of regular hours required.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or beyond in related field.
• Montessori certification for infant, toddler, or primary. Can be in training / willingness to undertake training.
• EEC qualified or certified.
• Resume and at least two references are required to be considered for this position.

You will be responsible for sustaining an authentic Montessori environment. You will encourage the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently and respect themselves and others. The Montessori Method sparks imagination, assists children in making positive choices, and helps the students build self-esteem while they discover new things each day.

We are interested in lead guides who are kind, thoughtful and strong at guiding children in self-motivated learning and helping stimulate their natural desire to learn.
