Investment Analyst Intern (PE/VC Africa)

Founded in 2017, Saviu Ventures is an Africa-focused investment fund with offices in Paris, Dakar, and Abidjan, currently deploying a €40m second fund. We invest in early-stage tech or tech-enabled companies (seed to Series A) across Africa with a focus on Francophone Africa. 

We target companies that tackle meaningful challenges on the continent and aim at becoming pan-African champions. We are sector-agnostic with a preference for B2B Fintech, SaaS, Healthtech, Edtech and Climate Tech. We’re looking for an Investment Analyst Intern to join us for a 4-6 month period from September / October 2026. You will assist the team notably in identifying relevant start-ups, performing market and sector research as part of the due diligence process, delivering high-quality documentation for the decision-making process, and providing support in various ad hoc portfolio company matters.

About the role
As a full member of the investment team, you will contribute to the analysis of investment
opportunities.
Your tasks will include:
● Researching and identifying relevant start-ups
● Interviews with start-up founders
● Market analysis, strategic analysis of investment deals
● Financial analysis, modelling and valuation of investment operations
● Drafting of investment memorandums
● Reporting and monitoring of the investment portfolio
 

Preferred profile
● Business or engineering school, IEP Major in Finance, Master 2 or PhD in Corporate Finance
● Atleast 6 months of experience in VC/PE, M&A, Strategy Consulting, Transaction Services, etc.
● Fluency in English is essential
● Financial and analytical skills
● Ability to work independently
● You have, in addition to these prerequisites, a strong interest in Africa, and ideally experience
(professional or other) on the continent
