SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY AND CONTENT OPERATIONS INTERN

Time Commitment - Approximately 10 hours per week for 12 weeks
ABOUT THE COMPANIES
Your Equipment Suppliers and Roll Ice Cream LLC are equipment, training and business support companies serving entrepreneurs, manufacturers and food businesses.
Your Equipment Suppliers operates from Trinidad and Tobago and serves customers across the Caribbean and other international markets.
Roll Ice Cream LLC is a US company serving dessert entrepreneurs through commercial equipment, training, technical support and business education.
Both companies create educational, product focused, customer led and business development content across several social media platforms.
WHY THIS INTERNSHIP IS DIFFERENT
You will not spend the internship simply scheduling posts or copying numbers into a report.
You will study real content, identify patterns, recommend ideas and learn how brands use performance data to make better decisions.
You will also gain experience working with two companies serving different audiences and markets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Social Media Strategy and Content Operations Internship is designed for a student interested in social media analytics, audience behaviour, digital strategy and creative workflows.
The intern will help review content performance and support the process that takes content from idea to publication.
This is not primarily a video editing or posting role.
WHAT YOU MAY WORK ON
You may:
• Review weekly social media performance
• Compare results across both companies
• Identify patterns by topic, hook, format and platform
• Study high performing and low performing content
• Research useful platform and industry trends
• Monitor selected competitors and strong industry accounts
• Recommend practical content experiments
• Help maintain a testing and performance tracker
• Review whether completed content follows the approved brief
• Observe and support the content production workflow
• Help identify delays, unclear instructions or communication gaps
• Prepare weekly findings and recommendations
• Participate in short content review meetings
The intern will support the content process but will not be responsible for formal staff supervision, disciplinary decisions or final content approval.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• Compare results across different audiences and brands

• Decide whether a trend suits a particular brand
• Turn analytics into practical content recommendations

• Familiar with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn or YouTube
Experience with social media analytics tools is helpful but not required.
The strongest applicants will be able to explain why content may have performed well or poorly instead of only reporting the numbers.
