MHI Compensation: This position is eligible for the MHI $1000 Scholarship. Students who receive an offer for this position will be required to enroll in the Mellon Humanities Internship course to receive the $1000 scholarship disbursement. As referenced in the Student Interest Form that you filled out to sign up for participation in MHI, this scholarship can impact, or be impacted by, other financial aid you receive. 

If an internship requires out of pocket costs, students may apply for reimbursement for expenses including background checks, qualifying travel, or equipment. All applications will be reviewed and processed for eligibility. Please contact your departments internship coordinator for more details.

The $1000 scholarship offered for this position is intended to provide financial assistance for the pursuit of your education; it is not compensation for the performance of any services and does not create an employment relationship between the you and the Site.

This position is an experiential learning opportunity and receipt of the scholarship is tied to an academic course (IDS 3947). If you do not complete your registration for the course in a timely manner, your internship offer may be withdrawn, and your department’s Internship Coordinator may notify the host organization that the position has reopened.

All The World’s Kids is in a formative and exciting growth phase — designing the systems, stories, and strategies that will guide the next 3–5 years of youth leadership programming. Future Leader Development Council Ambassadors will work closely with the leadership team helping prepare curriculum, ideate visions, and create meaningful event experiences for underserved youth in the city of St. Petersburg.

Projects for FLDC Ambassadors will include supporting and co-hosting with the leadership team and volunteers community events and workshops such as our monthly Art in the Park series in Child’s Park and Mentors in the Garden workshop hosted at 15th St Farm.

Optional Extension (Interest-Based): Support early planning conversations for Global Impact Expeditions to Cambodia, including youth service learning frameworks related to water access and global citizenship.
 

Qualifications
● Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a long-term project
● Strong written communication and storytelling skills
● Interest in youth development, social-emotional learning, arts education, nonprofit leadership, or global service
● Comfortable conducting qualitative research and reflective analysis
● Organized, self-motivated, and collaborative
● Proficiency in Microsoft Word or Google Docs
● Alignment with the mission and values of All The World’s Kids

Bonus (Not Required): Experience with curriculum design, youth mentorship, nonprofit work, creative arts, or community storytelling.
