Inventory Operations Specialist

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Inventory Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary

The Inventory Operations Specialist is responsible for the accuracy, movement, storage, identification, and fulfillment of inventory throughout its lifecycle. This position serves as a check-and-balance between Receiving, Manufacturing, Shipping, Customer Service, Planning, and Quality by verifying inventory transactions, material identification, traceability, and transfers between departments. The role maintains Finished Goods Inventory (FGI) accuracy and supports manufacturing and eCommerce fulfillment through effective inventory control and material management.

Essential Responsibilities

· Maintain accurate inventory records and ERP transactions for receipts, transfers, issues, returns, and adjustments.

· Maintain inventory identification, traceability, labeling, location control, and material status.

· Maintain organized storage locations and efficient material flow to support product preservation, accurate picking, and timely availability of materials.

· Monitor and maintain shelf-life controlled materials by tracking expiration dates, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO), and proactively identifying, segregating, and escalating materials approaching or exceeding expiration limits.

· Coordinate material movement between Receiving, Manufacturing, Shipping, Customer Service, Planning, and Quality.

· Receive released inventory and verify all FGI transfers by confirming material identity, documentation accuracy, ERP transactions, and location control.

· Pick, stage, verify, and issue materials for manufacturing work orders.

· Pick, verify, and stage products for sales order fulfillment; process eCommerce work orders requiring stock to be broken down, cut, or repackaged.

· Perform cycle counts, reconcile physical inventory to ERP records, and support physical inventory activities to maintain inventory accuracy.

· Investigate and correct variances, and escalate unresolved discrepancies involving physical counts, ERP records, inventory status, builds, or transfers.

· Maintain the SDS system and support safe material handling practices.

Qualifications & Experience

· 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing support experience.

· Experience using ERP systems to complete inventory transactions, research variances, maintain location accuracy, and support cycle count reconciliation.

· Experience maintaining inventory traceability, material status, and location control.

· Experience in an AS9100, ISO 9001, aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

Required Skills

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.

· Knowledge of inventory control, traceability, and material status management.

· Ability to verify transactions, identify discrepancies, preserve traceability, and exercise sound judgment when escalating issues involving transfers between departments.

· Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and cross-functional communication.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

· Combination of warehouse, manufacturing, and computer-based work.

· Compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures is required.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
