Property Operations Analyst
The Opportunity
Prime Residential is looking for a Property Operations Analyst to support operational performance at Park La Brea in Los Angeles.
This role is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys connecting property operations data to business performance and turning insights into action. Reporting to the VP, Property Management, the Property Operations Analyst serves as a key partner to operational leaders by identifying performance variances, uncovering root causes, and providing actionable recommendations across revenue, occupancy, delinquency, work orders, purchase orders, and other key operating metrics. The role works closely with Property Management, Property Accounting, Asset Management, and Centralized Services to interpret results, align on priorities, and drive follow-through on items impacting property performance.
Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to clearly communicate operational and financial insights to a variety of stakeholders. Ultimately, this person helps transform property activity and reported results into meaningful information that supports data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
Own property operations reporting and variance analysis across revenue, occupancy, delinquency, work orders, purchase orders, expenses, and other key operating metrics, providing actionable insights to property leadership.
Analyze financial and operational results against budget, forecast, and expectations, identify root causes of variances, and support monthly operating reviews, budgets, and forecasts.
Partner with Property Management, Property Accounting, Asset Management, and Centralized Services to ensure accurate reporting, resolve discrepancies, and drive follow-up on performance-impacting issues.
Oversee the accuracy of resident billing, utility charges, resident ledgers, delinquency reporting, and collections-related processes.
Maintain the integrity of financial and operational data while identifying opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
What You Will Need
- 2+ years of experience in real estate (commercial or residential/multifamily) property operations, financial analysis, resident accounting support, property management, Community Director, and/or Analyst of Asset Management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and lookup functions, along with strong overall Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with resident ledgers, billing, collections data, or account reconciliation.
- The ability to explain operational and financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance partners.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting recurring reporting deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build alignment across operations, accounting, Centralized Services, and corporate finance.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential financial information.
- A valid driver’s license for the purpose of operating a community or company vehicle.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Multifamily real estate or property operations experience.
- Experience using property management or accounting software, such as RealPage or Yardi.
- Experience with resident accounting, utility billing, accounts receivable, or collections in a multifamily environment.
- Experience building dashboards or automating recurring reports.

Schedule and Compensation
This position is based at Park La Brea in Los Angeles, California and requires working from the property office 5 days per week from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The target compensation is $91,480 per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.
