In-Vehicle UI Designer

Design & Craft

Design high-quality in-vehicle UIs: typography, color, layout, and motion across global brands.

Deliver pixel-perfect, implementation-ready specs, assets, and reusable components for our global design system.

Build high-fidelity prototypes to communicate visual, motion, and interaction intent.

Craft glance-based interfaces with clear hierarchy and intuitive system feedback.

Strategy & Thinking

Translate product requirements, user needs, and brand intent into cohesive UX/UI solutions.

Apply research insights and system constraints to ground design decisions in real context

Collaboration & Impact

Work cross-functionally with engineering, product strategy, and truck technology across a global team.

Communicate design rationale clearly; share work early, gather feedback, and iterate.

Own workstreams from concept to handoff with minimal day-to-day oversight.

 

 

Knowledge You Should Bring

Bachelor’s degree in UX, Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field, with internship experience or up to 1–2 years in UX/UI or product design.

Required: Academic focus in automotive UX/UI, HMI, or in-vehicle interaction design, or hands-on experience designing automotive or in-vehicle digital systems.

Required:** Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, interaction design, and problem-solving, with clear ownership of work. **

Strong visual design fundamentals: typography, color, layout, and motion.

Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering for UI concept visualization.

Ability to prototype and communicate design decisions effectively.

Systems thinking: comfortable designing across features, states, and flows.

Proactive, curious, execution-driven with a passion for craft and quality that raises the bar.

  

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

Experience with automotive HMI systems (cluster, infotainment, HUD, embedded).

Familiarity with automotive HMI/prototyping tools (Kanzi, Unreal, Unity, ProtoPie, etc.).

Exposure to AR/VR/spatial interfaces.

Experience using AI in design workflows.
