BlossomS Tutoring & ABA Services, LLC is a growing educational organization committed to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As a New York State and New York City Certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), we partner with schools and communities to provide high-quality academic intervention, enrichment programming, and ABA-informed educational support.

We are currently building a team of passionate educators for an anticipated after-school elementary school partnership in the Bronx.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon the successful award and execution of an anticipated school partnership contract.

Position Overview

BlossomS is seeking energetic, dependable, and student-centered individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive impact in children's lives. Team members will provide small-group academic instruction while supporting elementary-aged students in reading, writing, mathematics, and overall academic success.

Depending on school needs and individual qualifications, selected staff may also provide ABA-informed educational support to students requiring additional behavioral, social-emotional, or executive functioning supports within the classroom.

This opportunity is ideal for college students, graduate students, aspiring teachers, and professionals pursuing careers in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, Speech-Language Pathology, Counseling, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Responsibilities

As an Academic Tutor & Student Success Specialist, you will:

Deliver engaging small-group instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Support students in strengthening academic skills using evidence-based instructional practices.
Foster student confidence, participation, and positive learning behaviors.
Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs.
Build positive and meaningful relationships with students.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with BlossomS leadership and school personnel.
Complete attendance records, lesson notes, and required documentation.
Represent BlossomS with professionalism and integrity.

Candidates with ABA or autism experience may also:

Implement ABA-informed educational support strategies.
Utilize positive behavior supports and reinforcement systems.
Support students with self-regulation, classroom engagement, transitions, and social skill development.
Collaborate with school staff to promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be willing to commute to the Bronx two afternoons per week during after-school hours.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work consistently throughout the school year.
Willingness to complete fingerprinting, background screening, and all required school clearance requirements before beginning employment.
Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates pursuing or holding degrees in:

Elementary Education
Special Education
Early Childhood Education
Psychology
Social Work
Child Development
Speech-Language Pathology
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Counseling
Human Services

Candidates with experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs are strongly encouraged to apply.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

BCBA Candidate
Graduate student pursuing a BCBA
Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis
