Job Description - Chicago, IL 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Business Valuation Analyst. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative research skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts. The Analyst will assist with business valuation engagements involving privately held companies for estate and gift tax planning, shareholder disputes, financial reporting, and litigation support. Responsibilities include financial statement analysis, industry and economic research, valuation modeling, report preparation, and supporting senior professionals throughout the engagement process.

Compensation: $75,000–$105,000, plus annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits including medical insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid continuing education, reimbursements for professional certifications, and hybrid work flexibility.

Corporate Valuation Services supports professional development through reimbursement for professional credentials (CFA, ASA, CVA), continuing education, and direct mentorship from experienced valuation professionals.

Successful analysts will have opportunities to assume increasing responsibility, manage portions of engagements, participate in client meetings, and progress into senior valuation roles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical financial statements and identify normalization adjustments. 
• Perform industry, economic, and company-specific research. 
• Develop and maintain valuation models utilizing the income, market, and asset approaches.
• Draft clear, concise valuation reports and supporting analyses for review by senior professionals. 
• Research publicly traded guideline companies and comparable transactions. 
• Assist in management interviews and due diligence. 
• Support litigation matters through financial analysis, document review, and preparation of exhibits for mediation, deposition, and trial. 
• Utilize Excel and valuation databases to perform financial analyses.
• Stay updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards that may impact the organization.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 

Experience

• 0–3 years of experience in business valuation, public accounting, corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, or a related field. Exceptional recent graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
