We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our team in DuBois, PA. In this role, you will operate a variety of machine tools to manufacture precision metal components while ensuring products meet exact specifications and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Operate machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Machine steel, aluminum, plastic, and other materials
• Determine proper speeds, feeds, and cutting paths for machining operations
• Select appropriate tooling and setup equipment for production jobs
• Position and secure workpieces on machinery
• Ensure proper lubrication and cooling during machining processes
• Replace worn or damaged cutting tools as needed
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Operate both manual and computer-controlled machinery
• Modify machine programs to meet required tolerances and specifications
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Dial indicators
  • Inspection gauges
• Ability to operate machining equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus
• 1-2 years of machinist experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
