Are you an experienced CNC Machinist with programming skills? We are seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist / Programmer to join our manufacturing team in DuBois, PA. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components while meeting exact customer specifications.

What You'll Do

• Program and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision metal components
• Review blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Machine steel, aluminum, plastics, and other materials
• Determine proper speeds, feeds, tooling, and machining methods
• Set up workpieces and ensure proper fixturing
• Monitor machining operations and verify part accuracy
• Modify CNC programs to maintain required tolerances
• Select and replace cutting tools as needed
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
• Maintain quality standards and ensure production efficiency

Qualifications

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience operating and programming CNC lathes
• Knowledge of Doosan or Smart Lathe equipment is a plus
• Experience with FANUC Conversational Programming and/or Mastercam
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Solid mathematical and machining knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues
• Experience working to tight tolerances and quality requirements

Technical Skills

• Proficient with precision measuring instruments, including:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Dial indicators
  • Other inspection equipment
• Understanding of machining principles, tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical or vocational education in Machining, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of CNC machining experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and safely operate machinery
