CNC Machinist / Programmer

Location: Somerset, PA
Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour+ (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 4:30 PM, or 5:30 PM

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Somerset, PA. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist with hands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment, including Mazak and Mitsubishi machines, as well as CNC lathes and mills.

What You'll Do

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills
  • Create and modify programs for Mazak and Mitsubishi CNC machines
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Select tooling and determine machining processes
  • Verify part dimensions using precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshoot machining, programming, and setup issues
  • Optimize programs and machine performance for efficiency and quality
  • Maintain production and quality standards
  • Follow all safety and manufacturing procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in CNC machining and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to program Mazak and Mitsubishi CNC equipment
  • Experience operating CNC lathes and mills
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and metalworking processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule & Overtime

  • Monday-Friday
  • Start time: 7:00 AM
  • End time varies between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM based on production demands
  • Saturday overtime available (typically 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM)
  • Overtime is available and encouraged
