Debate / Model UN Coach

Job description:

Job Type: Part-time (contractors choose which days and hours they would like to work. All educators choose their own schedule and are free to work for other companies. Contractors choose how many or few hours they wish to work).

Please note: we work with various clients around the city, the address listed is not the only address.

*Hours will be on weekdays between 3 - 5:30 p.m., depending on the school. Educators will choose the hours that align best with their schedules. Classes will begin in September of 2026.

Hourly pay: Contractors are free to negotiate their rate. All contractors will sign an independent contractor agreement.

Teaching experience is a must. We are seeking to partner with teachers with experience in Debate, Model United Nations, History, Civics, and Public speaking. Please note any relevant experience in your resume or a note.

We are looking for:

-An experienced educator to teacher beginner and competitive debate

-An experienced educator to teach beginner and competitive Model United Nations

Veterans are welcome to apply. Students are welcome to apply, provided they have the requested experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

-Be able to prepare and execute lesson plans based on the needs of the students
-Be knowledgable in the subject matter for the position you apply for

-Be reliable, punctual, consistent, and prepared to empower students. Tardiness is not acceptable for our school partners. If you are tardy more than once, it is likely the school will ask us to find someone new.

-Ensure that students are behaving in a civilized, respectful manner

Qualifications and Skills

-Experience in education working with students in elementary, middle or high school
-Reliable
-Organized
-Excellent communication skills
-Empowered, positive attitude

-Experience with Debate, Model United Nations, Mock Trial and/or Model Congress

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Contractor sets their own rate

Experience/essential skills:

• Teaching: 1 year (Required)
• Experience with one or more of the following: Model United Nations, Mock Trial, Debate and/or Model Congress

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Insurance (to work in schools with kids) (Preferred)
