Tumbling Coach

High Altitude Kids Tumbling  is seeking an exceptional, highly experienced tumbling coach to lead advanced skill development in our program in Eden, Utah.

This is not a typical recreational gymnastics role.

We are building a high-quality tumbling program where athletes are safely and confidently progressed through advanced skills — within a positive, well-regulated environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Coach athletes working on:
  • Back handsprings (standing & running)
  • Back tucks
  • Layouts and fulls
  • Safely spot and progress athletes through skill development
  • Design and lead structured, progression-based classes
  • Adapt coaching for both:
  • Older athletes working advanced skills
  • Younger beginners building foundations

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • 3+ years coaching gymnastics or cheer tumbling
  • Experience teaching and spotting:
  • Back handsprings
  • Back tucks
  • Layouts/fulls coaching is required
  • Strong understanding of progressions, technique, and injury prevention
  • Confident, attentive spotting skills

What Makes This Role Different

We are not a high-pressure or high-intensity gym.

Our environment is:

  • Structured but calm
  • Supportive, not fear-based
  • Focused on long-term development, not quick results

We are looking for a coach who can:

  • Teach advanced skills with precision and safety
  • Maintain a calm, grounded presence
  • Build athlete confidence while developing strong technique

This Role is NOT a Fit If You:

  • Prefer loud, high-pressure coaching styles
  • Rely on intensity or urgency to motivate athletes
  • Are only comfortable in competitive gym environments

This Role IS a Fit If You:

  • Take pride in clean technique and proper progressions
  • Can meet athletes where they are and build confidence
  • Want to coach advanced tumbling in a more positive, thoughtful environment

Growth & Earning Opportunity

High-performing coaches in this role often build a small private lesson base within our program.

We support coaches in offering private sessions, and many develop:

  • 5–10 consistent private clients
  • Typical rates of $30–$35 per 30 minutes
  • Additional earning potential of $60–$70/hour through privates

This is an excellent opportunity for a coach who wants to grow both their impact and income within a supportive, well-run program.

Schedule & Pay

  • Part-time
  • Hours: A variety of classes and hours are available daily between 4-8:30pm Monday - Thursday
  • Pay: $20-24/hour, depending on experience
