Planning Analyst

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Analyst to join our Planning team at our headquarters in Dixon, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in merchandise and inventory planning within a fast-paced, direct-to-consumer apparel and gear company.

In this role, you will support the Planning team by maintaining reports, assisting with inventory and sales analysis, coordinating purchase order activities, maintaining system data, and helping ensure products are available to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, comfortable working with data, and enjoys collaborating across multiple departments.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning Support

· Support the Planning team with special projects and process improvements.

· Prepare and update recurring reports on sales, inventory, receipts, and key business metrics.

· Assist with monthly forecast updates and communicate planning changes to cross-functional partners.

· Help maintain style and color level planning data within planning systems.

· Support purchase order creation and maintenance.

· Assist with the maintenance of planning tools, reports, and dashboards.

 

Inventory Management

· Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock shortages or excess inventory for planner review.

· Assist in tracking inventory performance, in-stock rates, and inventory turns.

· Help ensure planning data is accurate and up to date across systems.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration + Skill Development

· Develop partnership with Product Development, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams to support planning initiatives.

· Participate in cross-functional meetings and document follow-up actions.

· Learn the ins and outs of the Planning function, including but not limited to Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management.

· Develop an understanding of an Ecommerce retail brand.

 

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.

· 0–2 years of experience in planning, merchandising, inventory management, supply chain, retail, ecommerce, or a related analytical role.

· Internship experience in retail, planning, merchandising, operations, or supply chain is a plus.

· Microsoft Excel + Office skills (Outlook, Sharepoint).

· Experience with ERP or planning systems (NetSuite, Toolio, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Comfortable working with large data sets and learning new systems.

· Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn, develop cross functional relationships, and take on new responsibilities.

· Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership.

· Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn about the Planning function within an Ecommerce Direct-to-consumer brand.
