Data Center IT Operations Technician

This role provides hands-on technical support for data center equipment and field projects. The engineer works with internal teams, vendors, and clients to resolve tickets, maintain servers, support installations, manage documentation, and coordinate inventory activities.

Key Responsibilities

On-site Technical Support

• Collaborate with team members to identify issues, manage tickets, and troubleshoot equipment failures.

• Provide on-site support for server maintenance and related equipment.

Project Implementation

• Occasionally support on-site project work, including installation, cabling, switch configuration, and acceptance testing.

Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors and support teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and maintain configuration scripts, cable connection tables, and project or service acceptance reports.

• Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or client-level reports as required.

Inventory Management

• Manage the receipt and dispatch of warehouse parts.

• Conduct regular inventory counts and support parts delivery to data centers as requested.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• Fresh graduates are welcome. Candidates should hold an IT-related degree or have 0-3 years of professional IT experience.

• Excellent English communication skills. As the company primarily serves Chinese clients, bilingual Mandarin and English skills are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic networking knowledge, including the TCP/IP protocol stack and fundamental routing and switching concepts.

• Basic server knowledge and familiarity with the Linux command-line interface (CLI).

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and accommodate occasional overtime.

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-time; part-time arrangements may be considered

Pay: $3,500 - $4,300 per month

Locations: Dallas, TX; Ashburn, VA; or Atlanta, GA, based on project needs

Work Arrangement: On-site / in person

Language: Mandarin required

Travel: Up to 25% preferred
