Become a tour guide with Alumni Tours
We've been running tours of Cambridge and Oxford since 2013, and more recently London as well. All of our guides studied at the university they show people round, or are still studying there. It's the reason people book with us. They want to hear about the place from someone who actually lived it.
We're looking for students and recent graduates from Cambridge, Oxford and the London universities to join us as guides. You'd be guiding in the city where you studied. Experience isn't necessary because we train everyone on the routes and the stories ourselves. There's also the option to do some ticket selling on top of the guiding if you want to earn more.
We're building up our tours in other languages at the moment, so if you speak Spanish or Mandarin we'd be particularly pleased to hear from you. Everyone else is welcome to apply too.
The job
- Leading walking tours in your city. Mostly the colleges and the main historical sights, plus ghost tours in the evenings.
- Groups are capped at 25 people per guide, so it stays fairly informal.
- Looking after the guests. Our tours aren't cheap and people expect to be looked after well.
Who we're after
- Current students or recent graduates of Cambridge, Oxford or a London university
- Comfortable talking to a group and holding their attention
- Reliable, punctual and presentable
- Some flexibility in term time and over the holidays
- Spanish or Mandarin is a big plus

Hacemos visitas guiadas por Cambridge y Oxford desde 2013, y desde hace poco también por Londres. Todos nuestros guías han estudiado en la universidad que enseñan, o siguen estudiando allí. Es el motivo por el que la gente nos elige: quieren que alguien que ha vivido allí les cuente cómo es de verdad.

El trabajo
- Guiar visitas a pie por tu ciudad. Sobre todo los colleges y los principales lugares históricos, y por las tardes las rutas de fantasmas.
- Los grupos son de 25 personas como máximo por guía, así que el ambiente es bastante cercano.
- Atender bien a los visitantes. Nuestras visitas no son baratas y la gente espera que se les cuide.
A quién buscamos
- Estudiantes o recién graduados de Cambridge, Oxford o una universidad de Londres
- Gente que se sienta cómoda hablando ante un grupo y sepa mantener su atención
- Formales, puntuales y con buena presencia
- Con algo de flexibilidad durante el curso y en vacaciones
- Hablar español o mandarín cuenta mucho

工作内容

- 每位导游最多带 25 个人，所以气氛比较轻松。
- 照顾好客人。我们的团不便宜，客人也期待被好好接待。

- 在一群人面前说话不紧张，能让大家听下去
- 靠谱、守时、穿着得体
- 学期内和假期都能腾出一些时间
- 会西班牙语或普通话的话是很大的加分
