Onsite Summer Camp Teacher (Irvine, CA)

At iLEARN Education, we are passionate about helping students become confident learners, critical thinkers, and effective communicators. We are seeking enthusiastic, engaging, and dependable teachers to join our onsite Summer Camp team in Irvine.

Our summer camp serves elementary and middle school students through fun, interactive, and academically enriching classes. Outstanding teachers may also have the opportunity to continue teaching with us during the school year through our after-school tutoring and enrichment programs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging summer camp classes for elementary and middle school students.
  • Lead lessons in Reading, Writing, Public Speaking, Science, and other enrichment subjects based on your background and expertise.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and interactive classroom environment.
  • Foster student engagement through hands-on activities, discussions, projects, and collaborative learning.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and ensure a safe, organized learning environment.
  • Monitor student participation and communicate with the academic team regarding student progress.
  • Assist with daily camp activities and classroom operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or tutoring elementary and/or middle school students.
  • Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about working with children and helping students succeed.
  • Energetic, responsible, organized, and dependable.
  • Available to work onsite in Irvine from August 3–14, 2026.
  • Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing one) in Education, English, Science, Liberal Arts, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching or leading K–8 summer camps, enrichment programs, or after-school programs.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to confidently lead a group of students.
  • Experience teaching one or more of the following subjects:
    • Reading
    • Writing
    • Public Speaking
    • Science
    • Other K–8 enrichment subjects
  • Ability to create an engaging, interactive, and positive learning experience.
  • Experience teaching multiple subjects is a plus.
  • Teaching credential is a plus, but not required.
