Lead Minister
MLTCC seeks to call a lead minister to shepherd the congregation. This would be our one full-time staff member. Working alongside the elders and church leadership, the minister will develop and implement a Christ-centered vision for worship, discipleship, evangelism, and service.
The minister will:
- Preach God's Word with biblical accuracy, clarity, relevance, and conviction.
- Be an effective preacher, gifted teacher, and intentional disciple-maker.
- Shepherd the congregation through prayer, encouragement, discipleship, pastoral care, and biblical counsel.
- Lead the congregation toward spiritual maturity while reaching the surrounding community with the Gospel.
- Develop and oversee ministries that foster spiritual growth for individuals, families, and the congregation.
- Equip and encourage believers to discover, develop, and use their spiritual gifts in service to Christ and His Church.
- Raise up and mentor ministry leaders who will strengthen the life and mission of the church.
- Work collaboratively with the elders, ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers in a spirit of unity and mutual respect.
- Champion both local and global missions, encouraging the church's active participation in God's work around the world.
- Cultivate a welcoming church culture that reflects the love of Christ and invites people into a growing relationship with Him.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a master's degree from an accredited seminary or graduate school of ministry.
- Have experience serving as a Lead Minister or in an Associate Ministry role.
- Demonstrate proven leadership and the ability to work collaboratively with elders, staff, volunteers, and ministry teams.
- Exhibit spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a heart for shepherding God's people.
- Show a clear commitment to following God's leading and serving His Kingdom.
